WOW Football Group announces strategic partnership with EEXSport to open new pathways for young African footballers
Founders who have spent four years helping build football in the Marshall Islands set their sights on giving talented young players the opportunities they deserve.

London, UK – 1 October 2026 – WOW Football Group, the multi-club football advisory group, today announced a strategic partnership with EEXSport, owners of the EEXSport Academy, the African football talent pathway founded by Emeka Enyadike. The partnership will focus on developing young players as people first, giving them access to quality education, and creating routes to play football at the level their talent deserves.
WOW Football Group was founded by Matt Webb and Lloyd Owers, whose shared belief in football's power to change lives was shaped by an unusual journey. For almost four years, the pair have volunteered with the Marshall Islands Soccer Federation, working to bring the game to the last nation on Earth without a national football team. From building the federation from the ground up to organising the country’s first ever international match, their work has shown how much potential exists in places the football world rarely looks.
Matt, who serves as General Secretary of the Marshall Islands Soccer Federation, also founded Webdog Sports Marketing and has experience working in football administration. Lloyd is a UEFA A qualified coach, and has coached in 4 countries before most recently taking up a position with Coventry City.
That experience is at the heart of the partnership with EEXSport. Across Africa, gifted young players too often go unseen, not for lack of ability, but for lack of access. Together, WOW Football Group and EEXSport aim to change that by combining EEXSport's grassroots pathway with WOW's international network and advisory expertise.
Matt Webb, Co-Founder of WOW Football Group, said: "Working with the Marshall Islands taught us that talent and passion exist everywhere, but opportunity doesn't. This partnership is about shining a spotlight on places that deserve it. If we can give young players more opportunities, we can create a better world for all of us."
Lloyd Owers, Co-Founder of WOW Football Group, said: "Our focus is on raising good people. Football is the goal, but education and character are the foundation. We want every player who comes through this partnership to be ready for whatever life brings, on and off the pitch."
Founder and CEO of EEXSport, Emeka Enyadike also joins WOW Football Group as their Global Director, demonstrating a shared commitment to this partnership.
Emeka Enyadike, Founder and CEO of EEXSport, said: "We believe that young people should never have to choose between education and sport. EEXSport has evolved from our work as a sports career platform, and today we help young people and their parents navigate the complex dynamics of education, sport and career development.
We have been very impressed with the WOW Football Group journey and their work in the Marshall Islands. That shared commitment to creating opportunities, developing people and building sustainable football pathways is why we believe they are the right partner for EEXSport."
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to growing the game globally and ensuring that where a young person is born does not decide how far their talent can take them.
